We start the Trnovacko Lake hiking tour with a scheduled departure from either Tjentiste or Foca (we can arrange the time according to your wish).
The Scenic Drive and Trail StartFirst, we will drive in our off-road vehicles through Sutjeska National Park, including a visit to the viewpoint overlooking the Perucica Rainforest. Upon arrival at the Prijevor plateau, which is located below Maglic Mountain, our hiking adventure begins.
The trail initially takes you through dense forest and alpine meadows filled with wildflowers, all the while offering stunning views of Maglic Mountain.
Reaching the Heart-Shaped LakeAfter crossing the border ridge into Piva Nature Park, the path gradually opens up toward the breathtaking, heart-shaped Trnovacko Lake. This is where you’ll have time to rest, take photos, enjoy a picnic by the turquoise water, or even take a refreshing swim in summer.
The total duration of walking in one direction is about 1 hour and 45 minutes of moderate walking. We’ll also visit a nearby viewpoint, just a 15-minute walk away, offering a clear view of the lake’s heart shape.
Stay Duration and ReturnThe duration of stay at the lake is not limited, as we want you to fully enjoy the tranquility. Afterward, we return back to the starting point. We will then return to the meeting place with our off-road vehicle. The total duration of this adventure is about 7 hours
