We begin the tour with departures available from Foča, Sarajevo, or Konjic. From your chosen location, we drive toward Prenj Mountain. Subsequently, we continue by jeep on a rough off-road track. This track can only be accessed by a 4×4 vehicle. The ride leads us deep into the pristine landscapes of Tisovica Valley, the starting point of the hike.
From Tisovica Valley, we start the hike toward the upper slopes of Prenj Mountain. The route takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of steady walking. The trail gradually becomes steeper as we approach the final section, all the while offering spectacular views of rugged limestone peaks and wide alpine meadows.
The final climb leads us to Zelena Glava, the highest and most famous summit of Prenj Mountain. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire Prenj Massif, the deep valleys below, and the dramatic peaks that define this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After time spent on the summit, we descend back through Tisovica Valley. Finally, we return by jeep to the starting point, finishing the tour with unforgettable views and a true high-mountain experience of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We drove all-terrain vehicles to the Tisovica valley. The tour is moderate and the Zelena Glava peak offers beautiful views. We enjoyed it.
Prenj is not such a well-known mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it is interesting. This is one of the few organizations that organizes this tour. I recommend.
The mountain that has the name of the planet Prenj. Although the Sutjeska National Park is more beautiful to me, the Prenj mountain is also very interesting.
Beautiful wild nature. It is very obvious that the terrain was formed by tremendous tectonic action. Very dramatic landscape. My feeling was that I was somewhere far from Europe. The atmosphere is unique – very far from civilization.
Beautiful area for hiking, strongly recommended for visitors and tourists.
