Bobotov kuk (2523m) is the highest mountain peak in Montenegro and is located in Durmitor National Park. Durmitor National Park is the tallest and most beautiful park in Montenegro. Durmitor has 48 mountain peaks over 2000 meters high as well as 18 glacial lakes called mountain eyes. Given its position and height, Bobotov kuk offers the most beautiful views of Durmitor National Park. The numerous peaks are sharp like alpine needles, so you will have the impression of being in the heart of the Alps. In addition to being the highest peak, the Bobotov kuk is a very attractive mountain peak in Montenegro that will raise your adrenaline level and make your experience unforgettable. During hiking, can often be seen wild animals such as mountain goat, roe deer, rabbit…Durmitor National Park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1980. The many beauties you will see during this adventure are hard to describe, look at photos from our previous adventures, but the experience is of course much greater.

Itinerary

Day 1Bobotov kuk-highest peak in Montenegro

Start from camp or any other place you want in 8:30h. During the 2 hours drive we will enjoy the beauties of the Durmitor National Park, canyon river Piva and Piva lake. We will stop in some places to take photographs of magnificent nature. When we come to the place Sedlo our hiking tour can start. The trail is secured by cable, and if you have difficulty climbing our guide will help you. After 2-3 hours of walk, we will reach to the top of Bobotov kuk. We will enjoy in the view from highest mountain peak in Montenegro with the lunch package.
Return to car and our start point. 
End of Bobotov kuk and Durmitor National park adventure.

No special equipment is needed. Mostly the trip is not dangerous. But you must be somewhat fit and careful. There is a couple of parts where you have to climb grabbing a rope, but nothing serious.

Saw families with children (from like 10 y.o.) on the route.

Absolutely stunning views. Highly recommend.

I stayed with my friends for a couple of days in the Durmitor National Park. Through the Adventure BiH agency, we organized the ascent to Bobotov kuk. Nature is fascinating. The guide and the food are also very good.

A great hike all the way there and back. Took 3 hours each way and we stayed at the peak for 20 mins. The views are incredible.We had perfect weather and there was no wind. The final 100m is a very steep hike and some experience/nerves is good! I recommend the Adventure BiH organization, everything is really excellent
