Since our camp is located only 1 km from the border with Montenegro, we decided to organize a tour of the mountain massif Durmitor with our off road vehicles with a visit to the highest zip line on the canyon of the Tara River.
Earlier zip line was used only for building bridges, dam. Today, it is a very safe adrenaline sport. At the very beginning of our adventure we will pass through the famous canyon of the Piva river. We will drive through Durmitor which is considered the most beautiful mountain in Montenegro. On the Durmitor is the highest peak of Montenegro. In some places we will take breaks for landscape photography. Finally, we will descend into the deep canyon of the Tara River and enjoy the highest zip line in Europe. After that we will return to Durmitor again. We will make a jeep safari ride across another part of Durmitor by making a Durmitor ring.
The zip line length is 824 meters and high 150 meters that you will pass about 80 km / h.

You will see the unique Piva Lake as well as the deepest canyon of Europe, Tara River.
Along with zip line adventure, there is also a jeep safari adventure where you will enjoy in the fascinating landscapes of the largest mountain in Montenegro, Durmitor. During the jeep safari activity you will enjoy off road adventure in our Land Rover and Volkswagen vehicles.
At some moments you will think if all this nature is a dream or a reality.

Our adventure zip line canyon Tara + jeep safari begins with departure from our camp. At the very beginning we will pass through the famous canyon river Piva. We will continue our jeep safari tour around the Durmitor mountain range.
We will occasionally make a break for take photography. Arriving to the Tara canyon where the zip line is located. Zip line adventure. Time for enjoy the views with lunch package.
After adrenaline activity we will continue our jeep safari adventure across the durmitor by making a durmitor ring.

I was wary of trying it, as I’m scared of heights, however there was no need to be scared. It is very efficiently run and it felt very secure. The views were very good. It doesn’t take very long but you are able to fully appreciate the canyon.
The landscape is so beautiful. I was the first Time and i had a lot of fun.

If you are the sporty type – do not miss the great experience of Zipping some 200 meters over the stunning Tara River canyon in 2 minutes. This may be the only time I’d recommend NOT to use your cameras . Concentrate on enjoying the flight , the view and the adrenaline flow in your body . Do use your cameras later , while walking along the bridge (see separate review) .
