Via ferrata Piva

Via ferrata Piva is a steel path built in the rocks of the Piva river canyon.

Via ferrata Piva got its name from the river Piva, which with its power hollowed out one of the deepest canyons in Montenegro. She is the most beautiful via ferrata made in Montenegro precisely because of its location in the canyon of the river Piva. The first part of the trail is a secured hiking trail that descends to the bottom of the Piva River canyon. The second part of the path is represented by steel sidewalks and is placed along the river, which has an incredible color. During hot summer days, swimming in the river is also possible for the bravest. The Piva River is very cold and the water temperature is around 5 degrees.

The deeply cut canyon of the Piva River has created high steep walls that offer a great dose of adrenaline. This part of the Via ferrata Piva offers the greatest form of entertainment adapted even for children. The vertical wall from the bottom of the canyon to its top will take your breath away at times. Guided by our experienced guides, you are safe all the time and there is no need to panic. We are equipped with the best equipment from the well-known manufacturer Petzl, and safety is our top priority.

Via ferrata Piva is located in one of the most beautiful and deepest canyons in Montenegro. At the very beginning, we will enjoy a walk along the path that leads all the way to the Piva River itself. On warm summer days, it is also possible to swim in the river. After that, the path leads horizontally through above the river where a platform for jumping into the river has been made. The color of the Piva River is phenomenal and, together with the deep canyon, gives an exceptional experience. The via ferrata continues vertically at a height of 80 meters. At a height of 50 meters there is a platform for photography with an incredible view of the canyon and the Piva River.

Via ferrata Piva belongs to the easy via ferratas and everyone who does not have a great fear of heights will enjoy incredible scenes filled with a full dose of adrenaline.
