Zelengora mountain has a total of 9 lakes, 8 of which are of natural origin, i.e. glacial lakes, while one lake is the result of man’s action by building a mini dam.
Zelengore lakes are also known as “Mountain eyes”. Scattered all over the mountain, these hidden gems are a true paradise for all nature lovers. They are surrounded on all sides by mountain ridges, whose steep cliffs descend to the lake itself. Dense forest, spacious pastures and lakes with crystal clear water leave no one indifferent who visits this natural pearl of the Balkans.

As part of a one-day activity, we visit a total of 4 lakes, while as part of a multi-day activity with an overnight stay on the mountain itself, we organize a tour of 6 or 8 lakes, depending on the duration of the adventure, 2 or 3 days according to your wish.

Itinerary
Day 1Hiking tour of Zelengora lakes
In the one-day adventure of Hiking tour of Zelengora lakes, our experienced guides will take you through a tour of 4 lakes, namely Orlovacko, Jugovo, Stirinsko and Kotlanicko.
First, from our starting point Foca or Tjentiste, we will drive through the canyon of the river Sutjeska, after which the National Park got its name. We continue towards the Zelengora massif, driving for about 1 hour 30 minutes from the starting point. Our tour starts with a tour of the Štirinski and Kotlanica lakes and we continue moving through the endless greenery of the Zelengora mountain towards the Jugovo and Orlovacko lakes, making a circular tour. After visiting all the lakes, we will return by vehicle to the starting point.
It is possible to realize the tour Hiking tour of Zelengora lakes by visiting several lakes with a slightly different plan of movement and of course depending on the number of lakes visited, the adventure can be two or three days long.
