There are eight caves in the area, the biggest attraction being the Middle Bijambare Cave, which is rich in cave jewelry and is about 500 meters long and is open to visitors. The Middle bijambare cave is a real pearl of Bijambare natural park. The cave consists of four halls rich in cave jewelry. The fourth and largest hall, due to its acoustics, was called the “music hall”.
Besides visiting the cave, during your stay in the protected natural area of Bijambare you can enjoy walking through nature, so for all nature lovers this is a fantastic opportunity for relaxation. Visitors can view the area with a two-way tourist train. The one-way ride is just over two kilometers long, with the train moving at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour for visitors to see the natural beauty of this excursion site.

The area of Bijambare, with the Bijambare Cave, is one of the few picnic areas that is suitable for all nature lovers: it is a real atmosphere for lovers of caves, clear waters, pine forests and forest silence.
The Bijambare Nature Park covers an area of 497 ha and was established for the purpose of landscape conservation, scientific research, ecological education, recreation and tourism.
It offers outstanding opportunities for adventurers and nature lovers, as well as for relaxation and rest for the whole family.

Depending on the place of departure, the driving time is different. About 1h 30 min from our camp or about 35 min from Sarajevo.

The Bijambare area, famous for its caves. Especially known are Bijambare cave. Large parts of these caves are open to visitors. The “middle” cave is 420 m long (basic direction without individual branches), with four halls with rich ornaments of all known creation forms: lateral blocks, stalactites, casts, stalagmites and curtains. The fourth hall is the biggest (around 60 m in diameter and 15–30 m in height). It is also called the “music hall” for its acoustic effects. There is an electric train which is good for visitors not being able to walk longer. There is also a mountain home with a restaurant
Bijambare Park not only offers the caves, but some fantastic examples of Stecci (ancient tombstones) and beautiful nature.This makes for a well rounded experience. One can come for the day and bring a picnic and enjoy the Alpine surroundings. There is also a restaurant near the cave site. Be sure to take a jacket along. The cave is quite cold, around 4 degrees celcius.
